Seana's Must-Haves (Fall)

Hello lovelies!

It's been a while, but I'm back with something new! Since fall is either already here or just around the corner for you, I'm going to do a bit of a roundup of the things that I feel are must-have items for fall.

Let's get started then, shall we?

---------------------

Fashion:

Chunky scarves are definitely one of the accessories that I can't live without during fall. They're just so cozy and warm, and they make a great fashion statement.

Oversize sweaters. Even though they're not always the most form-fitting or things like that, I feel like everyone could use a good oversize sweater to keep them warm and happy this fall. Pair it with some jeans and boots, and voila! Instant fabulous.

Speaking of boots, those are also something that I think fall calls for. They give you a sort of cowgirl-chic look that I think looks good on everyone. And they keep your ankles warm, which is a bonus!

I myself own a leather jacket, and I'm such a huge fan of it. It's perfect for fall, and it makes a statement if you pair it with a plain t-shirt and jeans.

Hair:

Braids are definitely a lovely way to wear your hair in the fall. It keeps your hair under control during windy days, and they're super versatile.

I've always been a fan of the classic messy bun, even though it's not as effortless as it may look. Either way, messy buns are a perfect accessory to your fall outfits. You can polish the messy bun up for a sophisticated touch, or make it messier for casual wear.

Makeup:

I confess, I'm turning into a bit of a makeup junkie. My collection of products has started to expand, and I'm becoming a fan of different trends too that I hadn't seen before. One of those classic trends being the cat-eye, winged eyeliner. It's such a classy look that's been around for a while, and even though it takes a while to perfect, I love it.

For fall especially, if you want to be bolder, pairing a golden colored eyeshadow look and a berry lip color is always gorgeous. I saw this recently on a YouTuber's channel (Zoella is her name if you're curious), and I thought it looked stunning. Definitely a fall look!

------------------

And lastly, just because, I'm going to add apple cider to my list of fall must-haves. Apple cider is a staple of fall, and I never go a fall season without it.

What are you rocking this fall?

That is all.

Cheers,
Seana

What's In My Makeup Bag?

Hello again, lovelies!

Today I'll be tackling probably my highest requested post. The What's In My Makeup Bag tag! Whoo hoo! You'll get to see all the fun things I use when I want to look a little more dressy or I'm just heading out with some friends. So what are we waiting for? Let's dive in!

(NOTE: All of these products can be found at your local drugstore and supermarket, so they're not hard to find!)

Eyelash Curler: This eyelash curler by Trim is definitely a useful tool since my eyelashes aren't as big and fluttery as the fabled Kim Kardashian's are. It makes it so that my eyelashes frame my eyes more and make them look more awake and open.

(TIP: Heat up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer before using it. After you make sure it's not too hot, then curl your lashes. The curl lasts much longer! Just be super super careful that you don't burn yourself.)

Mascaras: Mascara is definitely my guilty makeup pleasure. I have a fair amount of them, and from left to right they are: L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly, Covergirl Clump Crusher, Maybelline Falsies and Maybelline Great Lash.

I'm a big fan of the Butterfly mascara's container design, and they help make my lashes look much longer than they are. The downside is that it tends to clump up. I normally use the green Clump Crusher one for my bottom lashes, and the Falsies one for my top lashes. I rarely use the Great Lash mascara since they changed the wand shape and it's just not the same anymore.

Eyeliner: Eyeliner is definitely one of my favorite makeup items! You can change the shape of your eye with it, and you can do all kinds of effects with it. Even though I'm still perfecting my winged eyeliner look, I still love using eyeliner. The one I'm using at the moment is by Almay.

Almay is really great if you have more sensitive eyes, since I've noticed there's less irritation if I use this one over some others. The only minor downside to this one is that it has a very, very subtle shimmer to it, which can look weird if you get some on your lashes.

Eye Shadow: Eye shadow is also something that I really like. On some days when my eyes are just looking a little tired and dull, a little bit of eye shadow can really brighten them up. The two palettes that I have are by L.A. Colors and Almay. (L.A. Colors being the larger of the two palettes.)

I really love the neutral tones that the L.A. Colors palette has, and it's definitely a good choice if you don't want a super bold look. My personal favorite colors to use is the middle brown on the far right column of the L.A. Colors one, and the lightest tone in the Almay shadows. I like using that light cream color on my eyelids, and then using the other brown one on my crease.

If your eyebrows are a little sparse, or looking a little weird, you can also use eye shadow to fill them in. Just be sure that they don't make you look constantly surprised or angry! My favorite shade for that is the darkest brown in the bottom right of the L.A. Colors.

Concealer: Now on to concealer! The one I use is Almay Wake Up Undereye concealer in the color 030 medium. (Oops, just realized it looks like my picture is a little out of focus. Sorry!)

I like to use concealer on days when my undereye circles are looking pretty shabby and making me look more tired than I actually am. I also like to use it for any spots or redness my face has going on. What I like about this one is that it's specifically formulated to make you look a little more awake, and the slightly tan-orange tones in it definitely brighten up your face.

Matte Powder: I use this matte powder just to set my concealer so that it doesn't smear everywhere, and to just dust up an oily looking areas I have. I couldn't find a spot on it that told me what brand it is, so I'm afraid I don't know what line it's from. But you can see that I've hit the bottom of this one, which is so sad.

Bronzer: I picked up this Covergirl Clean Glow bronzer in the shade 120. This particular one is called "Spices." I just really love the very natural color it gives you.

To apply it, I just swirl my brush around the bronzer so that it picks up a mixture of all three of the shades and gives more of a natural glow. After picking up the color, I tap the brush on the edge of the container to get rid of excess powder, and then I just suck in my cheeks and apply it to the natural contours of my face. I don't use a lot, and when I do use it, it's just if my face is looking a pit pale or peaky for some reason and I want to bring a little more life to it.

Brushes: I put the concealer, matte powder, and bronzer in a row like that so that you could see the brushes I use for each. The smallest brush if by Elf, and it's their eye blending brush (but I use it for concealer mostly). The brush in the center is by Belle, and it's the bronzer/blush brush. The black brush is just called a travel blush brush, and unfortunately I couldn't find what brand made it. I use it for my matte powder.

Tinted Lipbalm: Since my lips chap really easily, lip balm is essential. The ones I've been loving are by Nivea, and I have the Kiss of Shimmer and the Kiss of Berry Swirl. The Shimmer one is a lighter more bubblegum pink, and the Berry Swirl one is a darker pink, but it tastes amazing (like raspberries!).

Perfumes/Body Mist: And even though these aren't really makeup items, I still consider them part of my morning routine when I'm getting ready. My all time favorite smelling perfume/body mist is called Scentsations: Sunshine Flower and it's by Body Source. It just smells like summery flowers and I love it. The other one that I really like is called Warm Harvest Apple and it's by Bath and Body Works. I believe it was a seasonal fall scent, so I'm not sue if they'll have it right now. You can't use too much (or it's a little overwhelming), but it smells fruity and a little tropical. One of my friends told me it smells a little like pineapples.

And that is it! Those are the products that I use the most for a daily makeup routine. I do have more makeup outside of this, but I wanted to just show the things that I would use if I was going out or getting ready in the morning.

That is all.

Cheers,
Seana

Hello lovelies! For our American cliquers, it's another national holiday today-- The Fourth of July. I hope that you've all got some insanely fun things planned for today, whether it's a trip to the lake, a friends house, or just staying at home to watch fireworks in the distance.
I think Fourth fashion is probably some of the most classicly worn clothes throughout the year, so check out some great inspirations for your holiday outfit :)

In the Spotlight: Pops of Color

With summer already here, one of my favorite things to do is have a mostly neutral colored outfit, but add in that splash of color that makes it pop. So for today's ItS post, I've gathered some of my favorites. Hopefully it gets your fashion wheels turning!

DIY Skirt to Shorts

Hey Cliquers! This is a super fun, easy idea on how to turn an old skirt into one of those pairs of shorts that still make it look like you're wearing a skirt. I have not tried this yet because I don't really have any extra skirts lying around at the moment, but I may just have to go out thrifting for one so I can give it a whirl. It's perfect for summer I think!
